We’re proud to share an important milestone: KYDS has officially achieved accreditation against the new National Safety and Quality Mental Health Standards for Community Managed Organisations (NSQMHSCMO).
This accreditation is a nationally recognised benchmark for mental health services, overseen by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. It independently confirms that KYDS meets rigorous requirements for clinical safety, quality of care, governance and continuous improvement.
For the young people and families we support, this accreditation provides reassurance that KYDS is delivering care that is not only compassionate and accessible, but also grounded in best practice and strong clinical governance. For our community, partners and funders, it reflects a mature, accountable and future-focused organisation.
Achieving accreditation is the result of a significant, organisation-wide effort. It recognises the professionalism and dedication of our clinicians, leadership team and Board, who are deeply committed to providing safe, high-quality and ethical mental health care for young people.
As demand for youth mental health support continues to grow, this milestone strengthens our ability to expand our impact – ensuring that more young people can access free, long-term counselling, without barriers, when they need it most.
