One in seven young people experience mental health challenges. In fact, half of all adult mental health conditions emerge before the age of 14 and more than 50% of children experiencing mental health challenges are not receiving professional help.
KYDS ensures young people aged 10-18 who live or go to school in Northern Sydney can reach out for support when they need it, for as long as they need it, with no barriers in their way.
Call 9416 0900 to refer a young person for free, confidential counselling or book an intake phone call on their behalf. No Medicare card, GP referral or mental health plan is required.
Support your students to reach their full potential through our engaging, evidence-based workshops and presentations.
Our workshops are delivered on school premises to small groups of 20-30 students. An experienced professional speaker with mental health lived experience is also available to deliver presentations to entire year groups.
KYDS has supported more than 60 schools, reaching in excess of 17,000 students, through the delivery of over 150 workshops.
Support KYDS’ vital work by getting your school involved in one of the great annual community events which raise funds for our service.
Form a team, set an inter-house challenge to see who can generate the most event registrations, encourage students to volunteer or simply invite your school community to join in.
Your student leadership team could even hold their own event to fundraise for KYDS!
